Electra is an Integrative Health Journalist. She grew up learning about "integrative" health from her dad and his "interesting" and unique collection of friends.
She is a self-admitted sugar addict who "strayed" from the hippie teachings she found amusing, annoying and confusing as a child and beyond. NO, carob and sesame honey sticks do NOT satisfy a sugar fiend kid, no matter how much healthier they may be!
Now she'd give almost anything to have her dad's infamous homemade bread...
Her first memory of being politely invited to leave the group was at 5 or 6, when her mom decided she should learn meditation. She couldn't help laughing at the people holding hands and making weird noises.
Then she had children of her own... Since then she learned as much as possible about using natural or "integrative" health practices. She is still weirded out by some of them from time to time.
Electra attended the University of Tennessee a whole other life ago and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2017.
She is also the Author of The Rock-n-Roll Health Chick column in Kuzdoo magazine and the CEO, Station Director, Graphic Illustrator and more for ElectraLandRadio.net.
Electra and Jimmy met and became friends in the summer of 1990. They reunited in 2009, finally confirmed their deeper feelings in 2010 and married in 2016.
Electra is a firm believer that the right person is out there and sometimes you do get a second chance. And she still doesn't mediate.

Evan was born to parents who met onstage while playing starring roles in the musical Sweethearts in a college production. He has many fond musical memories of growing up, including singing 5-part harmony with his family in the car whenever they all went somewhere. Songs were always there, and he first remembers writing them down, using crayons, at 8 years old. At 12, his big sister showed him 3 chords on her guitar. He immediately began putting his words and melodies to the chords’ accompaniment. Two weeks later he played her a song he had written, which incorporated those 3 chords and several others. She started crying and gave him the guitar.
The pandemic opened a large swath of time for Evan, wherein he tackled the learning process of recording at home. He is now working on his 3rd collection of songs, writing jingles and serving up tasty tunes for brunch.
